Serena Williams storms into US Open 2011 third round

Serena Williams demolished Michaella Krajicek 6-0, 6-1 in the second round of the 2011 US Open after less than an hour of play.

The three-time Open champion channeled the dominance that she displayed when winning titles in 1999, 2002 and 2008, firing 10 aces and converting five of six break point opportunities. She also had 25 winners and just 10 unforced errors.

Krajicek, meanwhile, did not convert her only opportunity to break in the match, hit only five winners, had four double faults and committed 18 unforced errors. This was her first major tournament since 2008.

Serena will next play against the winner of the match between Victoria Azarenka and Gisela Dulko.
