Can Serena Williams return to top 10 in 2011?

The former World No. 1 Serena Williams hopes to get back into the top 10 WTA Rankings by the end of this season.

Can Serena Williams return to top 10 in 2011The 13-time Grand Slam winner Serena has return back to the tennis at the 2011 AEGON International in Eastbourne, after long one year lay-off. She her first match against Tsvetana Pironkova 1–6, 6–3 and 6–4, but fell to World No. 3 Vera Zvonareva with a 6–3, 6–7 and 5–7   in the second round. American former tennis legend Martina Navratilova said that, Serena can come back strongly in the 2011 US Open, if she is fully fit to play in the tournament.

The 29-year-old Serena has overcome against Anastasia Rodionova with a 6-0 and 6-0 in the opening round of the Bank of the West Classic tournament in Stanford. In the second round, she will meet Maria Kirilenko of Russia on 28th July 28, 2011 at Stanford. Serena has been playing her first WTA World Tour event on American soil, since 2009 US Open. Serena will be tough challenge for the top seeds in the upcoming Grand Slam event.

Serena believes that, she can come back into the top 10 WTA Rankings; if she plays hard to win all WTA tournaments and 2011 US Open. The American star has won the US championship for three times in 1999, 2002 and 2008. Serena will play her next tournament at Roger Cup, Cincinnati along with 2011 US Open event.
