Li Na Pushes Past Maria Sharapova Into French Open Final

PARIS -- Li Na is back in a Grand Slam final, reaching her second straight major championship match by beating Maria Sharapova(No. 7 and No. 8, respectively) 6-4, 7-5 on Thursday at the French Open.

Although Li played out very well, the experience was more details on the lack regarding Sharapova versus the proficiency by simply Li. During the first set, Sharapova double faulted five times to Li’s zero. In the second set, Sharapova broke herself on a double fault. In case of which weren’capital t enough, the woman misplaced the sport upon yet another dual fault.

"She has a huge and big serve, so I was like, 'Please, double-fault. That way I can win the match.’ I never believe myself I can be in final in French Open. I wish I can do even better on Saturday." Li Na said.

Francesca Schiavone, Li Na reach final

In Saturday's final, Li Na will face defending champion Francesca Schiavone. The fifth-seeded Schiavone, who last year became the first Italian woman to win a Grand Slam singles title, defeated No. 11 Marion Bartoli of France 6-3, 6-3.

Li Na Pushes Past Maria Sharapova

This will be Li’s second appearance at a Slam final after being named runner-up at the Australian Open earlier this year.
